The Treasure Box AZ delivers 86 boxes to wonderful families

So today was our June delivery of The Treasure Box. We had 86 boxes unloaded at 2 different sites and it was very exciting. Some of the stories brought tears to my eyes as I learned that one of the churches had ordered extra boxes to be delivered directly to some needy families. One family had been walking to church every Sunday with their little girl. They were finally able to get a car and the mom was shy as she came to get her box of food. Another man was from Africa. He is out of work and his wife has been battling cancer. He was overjoyed at receiving a box of food. And the last young man had ridden his bike to the Metro rail station in Phoenix, rode the Metro rail to Tempe, rode his bike to the church and picked up his box. He emptied the contents of the box into some bags, slung the bags back onto his bike and made the trek back to Phoenix to bring the food back to the temporary shelter he's residing in. I know in my heart that God is doing a wonderful thing with The Treasure Box here in the Valley. There are just so many people who are needing this service and I hope and pray that churches will respond and the word will get out. I cannot wait to see what's in store for next month!
